About Us
A FREE resource to ecnourage creatives to grow creative, sustainable business.
How it Started
Pitch to Profit began as a simple month long them for our podcast: what would happen if musicians openly talked about the business side of creativity?
We invited artists, producers, and educators to share their real stories — not just about music and performance, but about negotiating contracts, setting rates, building audiences, and balancing artistry with sustainability.
Those conversations uncovered something we already felt but hadn’t fully named: musicians are entrepreneurs. Every decision we make — from what gigs we accept, to how we brand ourselves, to how we invest in our careers — is an act of entrepreneurship.
And yet, no one ever teaches us how to act like one.
Why This Resource Exists
The podcast started as a solution to a problem I was watching unfold in real time. Our industry is seasonal—busy months come with plenty of income, and slow months feel like survival mode. To help my team navigate those ups and downs, I brought in James Pignataro, a CPA and accounting professor, to teach our staff how to budget through leaner seasons.
That meeting was supposed to be just for teachers and administrators. But something surprising happened: our students heard about it—and wanted in. They weren’t just looking for lessons; they wanted to know how to turn their side hustles into main gigs. We dedicated a month-long podcast theme to it, and the response was overwhelming.
That’s when it hit me: this conversation is bigger than my studio. Artists everywhere are searching for ways to build sustainable careers—without burning out and without selling out.

About Your Host
Arabella always proudly declares that if she had to choose between her art and her business, she would choose both! Unsure whether she wanted to pursue a career as a performer or in the corporate world, she attended Northeastern University to study Communications with a global emphasis while also taking continuing education courses in vocals at Berklee.
After graduating, she worked with top production and marketing groups, including BBDO NY, Luminations Group LLC (MPG), and Mars Inc. When COVID hit, she found herself with extra time and began teaching—what started as a few students quickly grew to around 100. She eventually ended her corporate contract to pursue an entrepreneurial path full-time and later returned to school to study speech-language pathology and vocal disorders. While her recent path has taken her deeper into vocal studies, Arabella credits much of her success in expanding the studio not only to her vocal expertise but also to her genuine love for marketing and the education she recieved in business.
